Eduardo Bhatia

President of the Senate, Puerto Rico and President, National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators

Eduardo Bhatia is a Puerto Rican politician and Senator. He is the current President of the Senate of Puerto Rico. Bhatia was also Chief of Staff for Resident Commissioner Jaime Fuster and former Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration.

Bhatia attended Princeton University and the London School of Economics, obtaining his Bachelor's degree in Government and Public Policy from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. He is a graduate of the Stanford Law School, and was awarded a Fulbright scholarship. After graduating, Bhatia worked as Law Clerk for Judge Levin H. Campbell, at the United States First Circuit Court of Appeals.

Senator Bhatia served as Co-Chair of the Eastern Regional Conference of the Council of State Governments. He was also elected as President of the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators (NHCSL), becoming the first Senate President to hold the title.
