Since 2002, Mrs. Marianela Dengo has served as the Manager of the Customer Relations Unit of the Panama Canal Authority. Prior to her current position, she led the ACP’s Marketing Division Specialized Services Segment, responsible for market and economic research, competitive intelligence, and customer relations. Mrs. Dengohas has worked with the Canal organization since 1991, holding several managerial positions in various divisions of the agency. Prior to her Canal career, she held marketing positions in Kodak Corporation – Panama Branch and Xerox of Panamá. Mrs. Dengohas has participated as a speaker in numerous maritime related courses and conferences both in Panama and abroad, such as “The Seventh Annual Waterways Symposium, “Waterways Transportation: Obstacles and Opportunities”, Global Soybean & Grain Transport 2010, Soya & Oilseed Summit, and the upcoming “2012 Transportation Research Forum”, among others. In addition, she has written articles for the Georgia Port’s Authority “Anchorage Magazine”, “Port Technology Magazine” and the UNCTAD’s Transportation Newsletter, to name a few.
