Marty is the group chief executive of Accenture Technology. Accenture is a global consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, with clients in more than 120 countries and net revenues of more than $28 billion last fiscal year.
Marty oversees Accenture’s technology consulting and outsourcing services as well as the company’s delivery capabilities. His group includes more than 170,000 employees. He has responsibility for Accenture’s technology innovation agenda, including the Accenture Technology Labs and Accenture Software, as well as developments around the delivery of the emerging technologies of social, mobility, analytics, cloud computing and all things digital. Marty also serves as the chairman of the Board of Avanade, a joint venture company of Accenture and Microsoft. Previously, he was group chief executive of Accenture’s Communications, Media & Technology operating group. From 2004-2006, he was the group chief executive of Accenture’s Public Service group.
Marty co-authored the book Unlocking Public Value: A New Model for Achieving High Performance in Public Service Organizations. It is a guide to understanding how these organizations can measure, analyze and improve public value over time. Marty has traveled extensively around the world and has worked with companies and governments in more than 30 countries. He received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and a graduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin – LBJ School of Public Affairs.
