Executive Director, Ittehad Steel Group; and Chief Executive Officer, ITC Logistics

Mohsin Khalid is Executive Director of the Ittehad Steel group, a Pakistani conglomerate with interests in steel, logistics and renewable energy. He is also currently CEO of ITC Logistics, a regional transportation and supply chain provider with operations in Pakistan & Afghanistan.
In a short career span Mr. Khalid has held several leadership positions both in the public and private sector. He is a former President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry, one of the most influential business and policy advocacy platforms in Pakistan.
As a widely respected entrepreneur, in 2011 he was asked by the Government of Pakistan serve as Chairman of the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO), the public utility that supplies power to 25 mln residents of Islamabad and North Punjab in Pakistan.
Under the World Bank-driven ‘Power Sector Reforms Program’ he was tasked to lead the power utility’s corporate restructuring and transformation to a profitable corporate entity. He helped turn around the $2 bln public enterprise and set it on a path towards long-term sustainability and ultimate privatization.
Mr. Khalid has served on the Board of Directors of several public organizations and corporations including the Islamabad Stock Exchange. He currently sits on the Board of BMA Capital, Pakistan’s leading financial services and investment banking firm, and the Overseas Employment Corporation of the Government of Pakistan.
He also served as Chairman of the Pakistan Revenue Board's Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee, helping reach settlement in long-standing customs revenue disputes. He has previously advised the government in several capacities as member of FBR's Tax Advisory Committee, member of the National Curriculum Review Committee and the Central Bank’s Credit Advisory Committee.
Mr. Khalid speaks to audiences both in Pakistan and abroad on governance, regional trade and corporate leadership most notably at Wilton Park, LUMS, and Pakistan’s National Institute of Public Administration. He has also been engaged in Track-II diplomacy efforts between India and Pakistan through the Commonwealth Forums at Wilton Park and the SAARC business leaders conclave.
Mr. Khalid is a member of the Young Presidents Organization and the SAARC Business Council. He has been recognized by the French Government as a ‘Personnalites d’avenir’ for his leadership in the public domain.
Mr. Khalid holds a degree in Economics from Boston University.
