After completing his business studies and military service at the ECPAD (Etablissement de Communication et de Production Audiovisuelle de la Défense), Thierry Dassault was Director of Equipements Civils pour l'Electronique Serge Dassault in Brazil from 1979 to 1981. From 1982 to 1984, he served as the Chief Executive Officer/General Manager in an alarm systems company, and from 1985 to 1993, served as Associate Producer and Director of Advertising and Corporate Films at Claude Delon Productions Company.

From 1994 to 2006, he served as President of Dassault Multimedia, which acquired shares in Infogrames, Gemplus, Infonie, BFM, CdandCo, Net2one, Emme and Welcome Real-time. He also invested personally in

In 2005, he was a founding member and Chairman of Keynectis, which became OpenTrust in September 2013 and IDnomic in February 2016. IDnomic supplies electronic certification and security services, used for the digital identification of persons, terminals and connected objects. He continues to serve as Chairman.

In 2006, Thierry Dassault created TDH, an investment company geared toward emerging technologies and niche markets, which holds shares in Aquarelle, Bernardaud, Blablacar, Coravin, Halys, La Maison, L Capital, IDnomic, Scarcell, Twoonpark, Usmile, Wallix Group,

Currently, he is Managing Director of Groupe Industriel Marcel Dassault (GIMD) and on the Board of Directors of Dassault Belgique Aviation, Dassault Médias (Le Figaro), Gaumont, GIMD, Halys, IDnomic, Particulier et Finances Editions, Twoonpark and Wallix Group. He also serves as Member of the Stategic Committee of YouScribe.

He is President of the 58th National Session of the HEDN, a Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur and an Air Force Colonel in the French military reserve.

Lastly, he is Vice President of the Fondation du Rein and Member of the Council of Administration of the Serge Dassult Foundation and the Association pour la Recherche sur Alzheimer.
