Former president of Guatemala Marco Vinicio Cerezo focuses its experience and energy in creating regional consciousness that allows Central America to become a strategic region in the world. Mr. Cerezo was the first President in the modern democratic stage of Guatemala after military regimes (1986-1991). Mr. Cerezo was the creator, promoter and signer of the Peace Agreements in Central America, Esquipulas I and II. He encouraged the Creation of the Central American Parliament in which he was delegated. Mr. Cerezo was a former deputy in several occasions to the National Assembly, Co-Creator of the Social Agenda for the Democracy in Latin America and permanent member of the Forum of Biarritz. Actually former president Cerezo is the Founder and President of the Esquipulas Foundation for Central American Integration in which he promotes Esquipulas III a Plan of Economic and Social Development for the Region.
