Toronto Global Forum - OCT 30-NOV 1 2017

"What we, at the IMF and at other international institutions, are trying to help the leaders understand is that no country can do it alone. The policy decisions that we make now will have ripple effect elsewhere."

-Christine Lagarde, Managing Director, International Monetary Fund (IMF)

"There is no question of world benefits from a strong Europe to help create better global standards for the world economy. And, those things are eroding in front of our eyes because of what is happening on the European continent."

-Ian Bremmer, President and Founder, Eurasia Group; and Editor-at-Large, TIME Magazine

"Climate change changes everything. It's the very first time that we all face the same challenge. We experienced a lot of regional crisis, but it is the very first time that we face a global one."

-Isabelle Kocher, Chief Executive Officer, ENGIE

"We believe that if we take a backseat to trade with the TPP countries, China is going to set the stage and the ground rules. And we would like a much better situation if we are doing it. We think it is important not only to the United States, to Canada, but also to the other countries."

-David Abney, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, United Parcel Service (UPS)

-Mamady Youla, Prime Minister, Republic of Guinea
